FIRE SPRINKLER ESTIMATOR

SUMMARY

Fireguard, a leading commercial fire protection company in the Mid-Atlantic region, is currently seeking an experienced FIRE SPRINKLER ESTIMATOR with outstanding customer service skills to join our service team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing inspections, maintenance, and installation of fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
  • Inspecting and repairing special hazard suppression systems FM-200, CO2, and Pre-engineered kitchen systems by ANSUL, Range Guard, Amerex, Pyro-Chem, and Piranha.
  • Identifying, documenting and communicating code and non-conformance issues.
  • Performing fire marshal tests and inspections.
  • Scheduling inspections, testing, and repairs of fire suppression systems with customers at required intervals.
  • Completing inspection reports and service tickets in compliance with company standards.

Qualification Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the fire sprinkler industry performing estimates
  • Familiarity with and ability to read, interpret and apply NFPA, local, and state codes
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents including bid forms, plans, specifications, contracts, purchase orders, and general agreements.
  • Ability to accurately estimate work and build excellent margins into secured work
  • Ability to create basic sprinkler layouts and perform material take-offs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to use independent judgment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to deliver high-quality results by deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently
  • Able to travel regularly to visit job sites
  • Able to walk construction sites and heavy industrial sites including climbing of stairs and ladders

Experienced Sprinkler Service Technician

SUMMARY

Fireguard, a leading commercial fire protection company in the Mid-Atlantic region, is currently seeking an experienced sprinkler technician with outstanding customer service skills to join our service team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responding to service calls.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and performing repairs on customers’ fire sprinkler systems.
  • Identifying code and non-conformance issues.
  • Completing service tickets in compliance with company standards.

Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years related experience in a sprinkler service technician capacity.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to be available on-call when scheduled.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Compensation: Competitive base pay and benefits package, in addition to on-call compensation.
