Fireguard, a leading commercial fire protection company in the Mid-Atlantic region, is currently seeking an experienced sprinkler technician with outstanding customer service skills to join our service team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responding to service calls.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and performing repairs on customers’ fire sprinkler systems.
  • Identifying code and non-conformance issues.
  • Completing service tickets in compliance with company standards.

Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years related experience in a sprinkler service technician capacity.
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
  • Ability to be available on-call when scheduled.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Service Coordinator

Full-time

SUMMARY

The Service Coordinator will act as a primary point of contact for the fire alarm service team and assist the department with providing the highest quality of customer service to Fireguard’s clientele.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and meet the needs of incoming service requests by coordinating various aspects of the scheduling process; this may include coordinating with outside vendors, sub-contractors, and technicians.
  • Work closely with the Fire Alarm Service Manager and field personnel to schedule appointments with customers.
  • Maintain accuracy of department calendar to include details for all fire alarm service appointments.
  • Assist clients, employees, and vendors by addressing questions, concerns, and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Serve as the primary distributor of the on-call schedule; this includes weekly updates to field personnel, management and the after-hours answering service.
  • Create, update, and process electronic work orders in compliance with company standards.
  • Input and report weekly payroll time of technicians.
  • Maintain database to include entering and/or updating customer contact files, building access information and system details.
  • Provide backup for sprinkler service as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Background/Experience:

  • 1-3 years related dispatching and administrative experience, preferably within an organization that provides construction, property management, contracting and/or logistics services.
  • Outstanding customer service and telephone skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, be flexible, multi-task and prioritize efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent decision making ability and sound judgment.
  • Superb attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Basic accounting knowledge/experience.

Senior Fire Suppression Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule inspections, testing, and repairs of fire suppression systems with customers at required intervals.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and installation of fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
  • Inspect and repair kitchen fire suppression systems manufactured by ANSUL, Range Guard, Amerex, Pyro Chem and Piranha.
  • Identify, document and communicate code and non-conformance issues.
  • Perform fire marshal tests and inspections.
  • Complete inspection reports and service tickets in compliance with company standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years related suppression, extinguisher, and emergency lighting experience.
  • Thorough understanding of NFPA, manufacturer and local fire codes for suppression systems.

Fire Alarm Technician

SUMMARY

Fireguard, a leading commercial fire protection company in the Mid-Atlantic region, is currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with outstanding customer service skills to join our growing service team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program and service fire alarm systems of all makes and models;
  • Diagnose trouble signals on fire alarm panels, and perform repairs as required;
  • Serve as a technical advisor on systems programming and configuration, and coordinate code requirements with local fire marshals as needed;
  • Perform all duties required to successfully complete projects within estimate and according to specifications;
  • Perform complete site surveys and visual inspections of all system devices;
  • Survey and prepare customer site for testing of alarm systems;
  • Perform testing of fire alarm systems, noting existing and potential deficiencies;
  • Functionally-test Indicating Devices, Notification Appliances, and all other peripherals and system components;
  • Communicate system performance and deficiencies to customers and to Fireguard account managers for accurate and efficient quoting of recommended repairs.

Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years related experience in a fire alarm service technician capacity.
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
  • Ability to be available for on-call duties when scheduled.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • NICET Level 2 Certification or higher strongly preferred.
